It’s 11.03pm. Everyone is bed, except me of course. It’s hard trying to type quietly! Monique has just gotten up, done a loop around the kitchen and gone back to bed. She is prone to sleep walking although she assured me she was awake. Done my usual surf around on Facebook, Twitter, email and the news of the day. Linda thinks I’m obsessed with the computer. I do spend too much time on it but I don’t think I’m at a point where I need to be weened off it-yet!
I did manage to get out on my bike this morning. First time in god knows how long. Nearly a year I’m sure. It was windy and a little overcast and I almost piked out but eventually swallowed a hard man pill and hit the bitumen. It turned out not to be too hard. It’s a funny feeling when you haven’t been on the bike for a long time. You just crawl along and make do the best you can and hope you don’t look too pathetic. I did a couple of loops around Kambah/Wanniassa and made sure I had the big tailwind home. Only 50 minutes and not too much pain and suffering. I must say my backside is a little sore tonight and chaffed in a spot no one wants to hear about I’m sure! The big thing now is to keep going. I enjoyed it.
