I’m feeling ashamed of myself. It’s a gorgeous late winters day here in Canberra and I have been hunkered down inside all morning mucking around on the computer.
I feel that I should be out walking, riding, working in the yard or something constructive rather than languishing indoors.
I feel a little torpid and it’s hard to get off the net when you don’t particularly feel like doing anything energetic. I was up late last night watching some silly movie about mixed martial arts and some kid trying to redeem himself by taking on the local bullies. The usual stuff. Linda seemed to enjoy it so we had it on in the bedroom and I got suckered into watching it  until about midnight when it ended. I can’t believe I sat up so late to watch something so insipid! Then Linda was up at the crack of dawn as usual to toddle off to the Department of Infrastructure  and I couldn’t get back to sleep. So the feeling of sluggishness has overtaken me. Linda didn’t seem tired. I don’t know how she does it!
I can’t quite get over this cough I have and it is keeping me indoors because I want to get over it completely. I am getting paranoid about the flu returning. I also see the magpies gathering twigs and such things preparing nests no doubt for the mating season which is not too far away now. Another couple of weeks and I daresay the early starters will be swooping runners, walkers and cyclists. Another reason to stay indoors!

The working week has slipped by quite quickly and although the usual monotony and boredom pervades the place it has not been too much of a stretch to be there.
We have been seeing a lot of the Renewable Energy pamphlets being returned through the mail with many people writing messages on them considering themselves to be very witty and wanting to ram home to Julia Gillard how unhappy they are with the Carbon Tax and the government in general. That is sticking to her!
We were warned to expect quite a few of them to be returned and although there has been a substantial number flowing through it has not been too overwhelming. Just the right wing element of society trying to express their outrage I guess.
If they only knew that their efforts to tell Julia what they think comes to nought as the returns are shredded at mail centres and the closest they ever get to Julia is a recycling bin at the Canberra Mail Centre. Haha.
So if you feel the need to vent your anger at government policy write a letter and spend 60 cents to post it because writing caustic message on government pamphlets and popping them in the mail isn’t phasing the Prime Minister it’s only making life difficult for mail sorters.
So that’s about it for today. Nothing exciting happening but I like to keep my blog up to date. Who knows, next time I might have something interesting to write about! Until then………bye.
