A quick blog post to round out the year!
This will be my last entry for 2011 and maybe for a couple of weeks as I am off to New Zealand until mid January.
It’s been a prosperous year for me personally, free of emotional strife and personal torment of any kind and a person can’t hope for too much more in their life than that.
Work of course, as anyone who is a regular reader will know, has been full of frustration but the sanity prevailing for the most part in my private life has left me on an even keel at Australia Post and I have been able to see it through no matter how annoying things have become.
Next year, to paraphrase Prime Minister Gillard, will be “a year of decision” for me.
I feel things at Australia Post will become tighter resulting in major changes and with the lack of care and subtlety that management show in handling staff I think there is plenty of scope for conflict there.
It will be my goal in 2012 to make a new career for myself. Things may be similar in other jobs but a fresh start must be a blessing no matter where you go. I need the change.
Other than that I think enjoying life to the full will be my goal and ambition.
I am travelling overseas, seeing in the new year in Auckland and have another trip planned to Fiji in September for my nephew’s wedding. That is a full calendar but will try to add a bit of domestic travelling to my portfolio. There is no place better to visit than this great brown land of ours.
So that is all for now. I have a lot more to say but no time to say it but I will be back with my blog in 2012 for anyone who is interested in following my story.
