Just a short note today to keep up to date.
Not feeling particularly witty, imaginative or creative today, just feeling…..tired!
Again, late nights and early mornings causing me to be a little less enthusiastic about life than I want to be. Once I am up and about I am fine. Just getting motivated to be so is the problem.
Winter has been calling early this year with temperatures falling to freezing overnight and lots of daytime fog causing unpleasantness for those venturing outside during the daylight hours. Had to really rug up for the first time this week. The shape of things to come I think.
It’s a better day today. Fog is clearing early and the sun is breaking out and the forecast is for a warmish day, taking into consideration that it is early May.
I’m getting frustrated by our dog. New neighbours have moved in next door with a couple of dogs and Pepper, our own bitzer is obsessed by them! He sits at the fence waiting for any sound to come from the neighbouring yard that indicates movement from his nemesis next door and, if he hears something, decides to bark and run up and down the fence line. Then, if he hears nothing, he has taken to just sitting at the fence for hours, just waiting.
He begins all this nonsense at about 7.30am, causing me to exit the warmth and tranquility of my bed to deal with his recalcitrant behaviour.
I’ve threatened him, chained him up, locked him in the garage and yes, even given him a light tap, all to no avail. He is currently tied up after disgracing himself again and has quietened down, only after being threatened with a rolled up newspaper. I will let him off shortly but I daresay he will be back keeping vigil at the fence soon thereafter.
It doesn’t help that the neighbours seem to be out the back in all weathers, at all hours, doing God knows what?! Of course when they are out and about their dogs get excited and bark thus exciting Pepper although our other dog, Turbo the staffie seems nonchalant about it all. She actually only just bothered getting out of bed a minute ago when I went down to deal with her annoying yard mate.
They are both really nice dogs, they just seem to have trouble socialising. Sounds like some people I know!
That is about all I have to report. Life has rolled along in the same cadence as usual with no distractions or obstructions that would cause me to communicate my woes on this blog. Life is okay.
So I will get off and take the time to go walking and take in what will hopefully be a nice morning. Hope all of you who read this may enjoy the same.
