I posted a photo yesterday and dared any to guess where the image was taken. I gave a few hints. It was in London and a charity soccer match was played on the ground not long after I visited.
I had one keen taker who ferreted out the answer after a succinct question or two to me. Yes, it was the Queens’s backyard at Buckingham Palace! The shot to the left was taken on the same day as we left the grounds and ventured past the well kept lawns and tousled gardens and were spat out through the rear gates, back into the throngs outside and reality.
Linda and I had toured inside the Palace and alas, the only way out from there is through the rear entrance. It is an interesting experience as we from the lower ends of society never get a glimpse of this part of Her Majesty’s property and it was well worth the money it cost for a peek inside.
Well done to my former colleague, Moose Vann for her correct guess and participation. It was a bit of fun and I may do it again soon. In fact, I may offer a prize next time so stay tuned!
