Riding the Vomitron

The year from hell continued yesterday with God deciding to smite me once more before the end of the year by forcing me to deposit Sunday night’s meal down the toilet.

Yes, I was riding the Vomitron with stops at all points south for a couple of hours yesterday morning and it certainly made Monday a bleak day indeed.

I’m back to feeling okay today although I was doing a bit of cleaning up around the house and felt a bit light-headed so I am sitting down to take a breather. The day doesn’t promise much in the form of relaxation-it will be all go at work no doubt so I will take it easy until it is time to put my nose to the grindstone. Eight hours on my feet sorting mail won’t make for a pleasant day after being ill.

Linda was ill too although she wasn’t sick. I’m not sure if we ate something that was a little off or picked a bug up from somewhere. With her radiation treatment in full swing it was the last thing she needed and although she is tired today-a not unusual side effect of her treatment, she is travelling okay.

I think we are over the hump at work and tracking on a downhill path. It may be busy but hopefully not like it was last week. I had five days straight sorting small parcels and it occasionally threatened to overwhelm me but I imagine most people have their Christmas packages posted by now and it should be a bit calmer as the we watch the last grains of the year fall through the hour glass.

I will take this opportunity to wish all regular readers a safe and happy Christmas and New Year. It really is a special time and we should all take a moment to count our blessings. Whether you are religious or not it is a time of goodwill and fellowship and I hope you all enjoy the company of family and friends and find time to relax. And thank you for your support this year.

Merry Christmas.
